Thank goodness for the internet. Every year when the infamous Super Bowl food map comes out (thanks to Google Trends), I am so intrigued.
Let’s start with our home state of Delaware and the fact that they searched stuffed peppers more than anything else. Chef Mike, get us some stuffed peppers for Super Bowl!
Ohio and Illinois are all about the Philly Cheesesteaks while Philadelphia, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri want all the Chili they can get their hands on.
Florida is craving shrimp and Georgia is quite specific with a hot, bologna turkey sub. Can someone in Georgia please take a picture of this and tag us on Instagram (@tomfoolerysbar)! We have to see it for ourselves.
Alabama and Indiana are keeping it (somewhat normal) with good ‘ole chicken, and the Dakota’s are sticking with pizza sauces.
As we move West, Super Bowl Food searches continue to surprise us. Utah and Washington are highly interested in Jalapeno Poppers while Montana is all about the Bacon Shrimp. California is making Fried Rice while Arizona is cooking up Green Chili Enchiladas.
And, of course, we’ve saved the most surprising for last. Drum roll, please. Alaska and their Dill Pickle with Beef Dip.
